Deep sea drilling platform technology in China broke the Western monopoly became the world’s most advanced technology

In the South China Sea liwan of China, "Hai Yang Shi you, No. 981" sixth generation 3,000-meter deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform has stood tests of a number of strong typhoons since its spud in May this year.

 no country can independently constructed that it require integrating many advanced international technology and equipment to complete.

           "No. 981" was included in the national key science and technology project, at a cost of 6 billion yuan that research and development and job preparation,

            hull construction, rig manufacturing, and heavy equipment each takes one-fourth.

           "981" greatly improves the construction of deep water oil, gas resource development in China , and the large marine equipment construction standards, 

           China has strode into the advanced ranks in the world in this field. "981" with two key indicators-     the maximum operating depth of 3,000 meters and the maximum depth of drilling 10,000 m, belong to the sixth generation of the world's most advanced deep-water semi-submersible drilling platform.
